It's been a cold May, but we've gotten a lot of good work underway. From celebrating old animals, to welcoming new animals, breaking new ground and continuing old projects we're sliding straight into the busy time of year!

Happy Birthday, Daisy May!

This month marks the fifteenth birthday of good old stand by, Daisy May. Daisy is a red and white Holstein and was purchased by our daughter from a farm near our old homestead in Bennington when she was just a few days old. Since then she's had several calves, helping us get into raising beef and replacing herself as a milk cow. She's given milk for calves, cheese, and pigs, and once or twice she helped us catch an escaped animal.
She has also given us plenty of her own trouble, but she has earned herself a spot on the farm for the rest of her days. Happy birthday, Daisy!

What's Blooming?
It's field prepping time! There's lots of work to be done to get all the flower beds tilled and amended with compost and ready to plant everything out. In the meantime, these trays of stock of several other longer growing time flowers are growing away in our basement grow room.

Baby Incoming
We're on baby watch waiting for Lena's new colt to arrive. She's showing signs that she's getting close, so we've set her up nice and cozy in the barn. We can't wait to see what she'll have.
YouTube Updates
The whole family is hard at work on some new content for our YouTube channel. We've got lots of ideas, but only so much time. If you want to see what we get up to next, follow along!
