Thanksgiving on the Farm 2025

November is a chaotic time for our family this year. Betsy will be traveling to stay with our youngest daughter for most the of the month and that means we have too much to do and not enough time to do it. That won't stop us from taking a well-deserved moment to appreciate all that we have to be grateful for!

Not Having Company this Year?

If you're not expecting a crowd at this year's Thanksgiving table, it might be a great idea to skip that 20lb turkey! We have farm raised whole chickens that will take up a lot less fridge space and leave a much more manageable pile of leftovers.

Whole chickens are frozen, available at the farm whenever someone is home or order yours ahead! $4/lb.

As always, we have much to be thankful for -- our family, the health of our animals, the progress we've made with our fillies and other farm projects.

Don't Forget Eggs!

You'll need a good breakfast to power you through the marathon of cooking ahead! Not to mention a few for the stuffing and don't forget about your dessert plans. Grab your dozen eggs at the driveway stand for $5 self serve anytime!

A Quick Note

Need to jot a quick thank you to your host after Thanksgiving, or to send a card to family or friends that you won't make it to this year? Hill Place will be offering photography notecards for sale at the farm. These cards are blank inside, include an envelope, and each features an original photograph. They're printed on a sturdy cardstock and were printed in Vermont.
