February has the birthdays of two of our grandchildren, so it is a busy time full of cake, and package mailing, and a good time to buy stock in Calico Critters. It has also found us busy training our horses, selling Lena's colt, and getting ready for spring and summer.

Limited quantities of maple doughnuts available for Valentine's Day pickup at the farm.
If you ever visited our booth at the Newport Farmer's Market, than you already know all about our maple donuts. They were a sell out staple there, and this year we're offering you the chance to treat your sweetie to our favorite sweet.
Pickup will be February 14th at the farm. $1 each or $10/dozen
Chickens

Scared of the cost of chicken at the grocery store? We are planning on raising at least one batch of broilers to fill our freezers up. While our beef and pork are sold in cuts, we usually offer chicken as a whole frozen bird.
Stay tuned for more info about dates and the chance to pre-order a couple of your own farm raised roasting chickens.
Working Horses
One of our top priorities this winter has been to spend more time with our horses. We've been getting Lena back to work hauling things, getting Holly harnessed up for some ground work, and recently acquired an old sled to restore.

Field Grown Cut Flowers
Every winter we think hard about what we want the coming season to look like. This includes what animals we'll raise, what projects we'll take on, and what crops we'll plant. This year we are thinking of pairing with our daughter again to offer some New Hampshire grown cut flower arrangements for sale at the farm. Please let us know if you think you would be interested in purchasing flowers.
