The most wonderful time of the year is also the busiest time of the year. We are working around the clock to get everything ready for the holidays. We've been welcoming new livestock, finishing winter barn situations, building a custom playhouse for grandchildren, and preparing for our youngest daughter's visit.

Classic French Toast
If you are looking for a delicious Christmas breakfast, or maybe a quick and easy supper for after you've been hustling and bustling through your shopping and decorating, look no further than French Toast! We've been making this recipe for years and no one has ever complained.
Ingredients:
2 eggs (Farm fresh Hill Place eggs available self -serve every day for $4)
1/2 cup of milk
6 slices of bread (day old bread works best)
Pinch of cinnamon
Directions:
Mix eggs, milk, and cinnamon in a wide bowl. Whisk together. Dip slices of bread in, making sure to soak both sides. Cook in a hot pan or griddle, a couple of minutes per side until lightly browned.
Top with maple syrup, fruit, or powdered sugar.

Welcome to Ginger!
Our dairy herd is expanding! We brought home this Jersey heifer to add some new blood into our cattle. We can't wait to have fresh milk again in the near(ish) future, but we're equally excited to be able to raise more our own beef from her future calves.
Dreaming of a Green Christmas
Which is to say that we have our eyes on the future when we'll be busy selling Christmas trees this time of year. If things go to our plan, it won't be more than a few years until you can decorate your own Hill Place Christmas tree.
Horse Work

Lena's been taking it easy since she had her colt, but we're getting some more work lined up for her. We are hoping for an ice-free winter so that we can continue training Holly and Tilly and have them ready to get to work in the spring!
