It's been cold here on the farm. Most of our winter has been spent clearing snow and dealing with cold weather equipment failures. We’re very grateful that the darkest parts of the year are behind us and the groundhog said only 6 more weeks of winter.

The extreme cold this winter has brought us a lot of tractor problems, but we're grateful for our original "little tractor" who never lets us down

Valentine's Day Plans?

Special Dinner? Check.

You still have more than a week to get your Hill Place steak to share with your sweetie (or better yet, one each! Who wants to share?)

We've got some beautiful, classic steak cuts available to help you make it a special night.

Flowers? Check.

Skip the imported roses this year and instead get your Valentine flowers for the whole summer. We'll be growing beautiful field grown cut flowers right here in Acworth. Every week your special someone could have a one of a kind fresh arrangement. A flower subscription will get you 10 flower arrangements over 10 weeks (late June-early Septemberish... dates to be determined), $120, for easy pick up at the Hill Place Farm Stand.

Check out @daisyacresflowers on Instagram for flower updates and to see our floral style.

A Chicken Update

To bring ourselves a little bit of spring, we have got a headstart on adding to our laying flock. We're currently raising baby Amber-link chicks. These babies should be laying themselves by the end of summer.

Vegetable Garden

It may be the same way at your house, but around here the mail has been bringing seed catalogs nearly every day.  Our orders are trickling in, and we are hard at work row planning our vegetable patches. Sweet corn and pumpkins will be returning crops, and we're really hoping to manage a harvest of cabbages this year as well. Stay tuned to see our veggies at the stand in the summer/fall!

Seedling Christmas Trees Coming

A few months back we shared that we had been growing fir seedlings from seed. This isn't a fast process, but this year we'll have the first few baby Christmas trees available for sale. More info to come.
